“My goal was to contribute my talents while taking into account the needs of the women, which I definitely achieved. The women have not only learned a specific handicraft, but have gained a technique with which they can make a variety of products. I was also able to improve my English skills and teach them to both the women and the girls. This experience will remain unforgettable for me. My thanks go to the founder Tamanna and her lovely family, who always took care of me in a caring but never intrusive way and made sure that everything was made possible for my well-being. Thanks to the Saahas Sisters for their warm, humorous and lovely welcome.” Vera
“I worked for this NGO and experienced how women are empowered in a highly professional and sustainable way. Women of all castes, religions and communities learn so many skills – like sewing and lots of handicraft – they enjoy this safe female space and develop more self-confidence and power to change what is restricting them.” Sandra
“A fantastic NGO run by women to empower women from all castes, economic backgrounds and communities. I have had the opportunity to volunteer with Hamara Saahas for over 8 years, Tamanna’s dedication and perseverance to help the local community in Jodhpur even when times are tough leaves me speechless. Hamara Saahas holds a special place in my heart and I find myself returning to spend time with Tamanna and the ladies every few years. Learning about the women and children and connecting with them one on one has allowed me to build lasting relationships. Over the years I have been able to sponsor one of the girls at the center so she could further her education, discuss ideas for financial literacy and provide supplies to the center for the women to use to further their vocational training.” Dimple
